When a patrolling team of RCF police questioned two suspicious looking youngsters Rakesh Sham Sunder (21) and Nawab Shabrati Khan (21) loitering at Islampura, they gave evasive replies. Upon searching them, police confiscated the revolver and live cartridges.

PSI Sanjay Bhapkar said, “Both the arrested men are from Navi Mumbai. They are booked under Arms Act 3,25 and have been remanded to police custody till April 6.

They have not yet divulged their motives for carrying the weapons.”“Owing to the forthcoming general elections we have stepped up patrolling in the area. These youngsters might have been loitering around in the area to bump off some targets. We were able to arrest them in time,” added Bhapkar.
